Nigerian music star, Yemi Alade, has revealed her strategy for navigating the entertainment industry without getting entangled in its controversies.
The ‘Johnny’ singer disclosed that she achieves this by not allowing people’s opinions to get to her.
Speaking at the listening party for her new album, ‘Rebel Queen’, in Lagos, Alade explained that she handles negative criticisms by simply ignoring them. “I don’t think about it [negative criticisms] too much. I’m just living my life because it’s only one life I’ve,” she said.
Alade further stated that she doesn’t dwell on opinions that don’t resonate with her, instead, she focuses on moving forward. “Once I see or hear anything that doesn’t resonate with me, I look the other way and I keep it moving. Because everybody is entitled to their opinions,” she added.
With this approach, Alade has managed to maintain a controversy-free career, focusing on her music and inspiring her fans. Her latest album, ‘Rebel Queen’, is a testament to her dedication to her craft and her ability to rise above the noise in the industry.
