Popular comedian and activist, Mr Macaroni, has taken a stance against the misuse of power to illegally detain citizens.
In a post on X, he emphasized the importance of seeking justice through the courts rather than taking matters into one’s hands.
Mr Macaroni wrote, “If anyone insults you or defames your character, go to court and seek justice… I strongly condemn online bullying and harassment. I believe those involved should face the consequences of their actions.” He cautioned against supporting the abuse of power, stating, “I hope those of you supporting this abuse of power won’t cry foul when you or your loved ones are the victims.”
His comments come amid reports that actress Toyin Abraham allegedly used her connections to detain a man and his mother for defaming her on X. Mr Macaroni’s post garnered numerous reactions from fans and X users, with one fan stating, “Toyin Abraham using police to arrest someone over a tweet is oppression.”
