Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage, has taken to social media to praise her colleague, Olamide, for his selfless act.
In a post on her Instagram page, Tiwa revealed that Olamide rejected a N100 million offer for a verse on her song, choosing instead to feature for free.
According to Tiwa, Olamide’s management had initially billed her N100 million, but the rapper refused to accept payment when he found out the artiste was his “sister” Tiwa. She expressed gratitude for Olamide’s kind gesture, acknowledging the challenges female artistes face in the industry.
“I was talking to his management, I did not want to talk to him directly because he would want to do it for free. I was willing to pay and his team charged me N100m. When Olamide asked them who the artiste was, he just said NO. He won’t take it,” Tiwa explained.
“He said I’m his sister and he knows how difficult it is for a woman to make it in the industry. And guess what? He gave the verse for free. Good people exist and Baddo is one,” she said, praising Olamide’s generosity.
