The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the distribution of 55,859 permanent voter cards (PVCs) in Ondo State, ahead of the November 16 governorship election.
National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, revealed that the collection of PVCs was made available in all 203 wards across the state for five days.

Olumekun stated, “The commission is pleased to announce that at the end of the five days, 55,859 cards were personally collected by new registrants and applicants for transfer and replacement of lost or damaged cards as provided by law.” He noted that this represents the highest percentage of PVCs collected in five days in Ondo State since the commission introduced the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in 2015.
INEC has appealed to remaining voters to pick up their PVCs from their local government offices, emphasizing its policy that no cards will be collected by proxy. A detailed breakdown of the collection by local government areas is available on INEC’s website and social media platforms.
