6 People Die In Ondo Road Accident

Six people were confirmed dead in a road accident between the towns of Ore and Ondo.

The accident involved an articulated truck and a commercial Volkswagen Jetta car marked REE 446 KP.

Witnesses said the truck missed a break and rammed into the vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

Rescuers had to use axle to hack the car to bits in order to get the victims out.

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ondo Sector Commander Ahmed Hassan who confirmed the incident said the injured were taken to the hospital. Hassan advised drivers to test their cars at all times to stop over speeding.
