3-Month-Old Baby Hospitalized After Being Raped By An Unknown Man In Nasarawa
After being raped by an unknown person in Adogi, Nasarawa State, a 3-month-old baby was hospitalized at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
She left her door and windows opened due to the intense heat on May 27, 2020 when she unexpectedly woke up and couldn’t find her daughter beside her, according to the mother, Maimuna.
The entire city went out in search of the baby after she raised an alarm, and was later found raped and abandoned in a classroom.
Speaking to Daily Trust, Maimuna, the victim’s mother said, “The incident happened on Wednesday the 27th of last month when I unexpectedly woke up about 3 am and found my baby missing.
I checked my phone that was close to me before I slept but it was missing as well. There was blood everywhere across her private part and then we rushed her to the hospital.
Maimuna said the case had been reported by a family member to a police station in Adogi for prompt action a day after the incident but so far there has been no response.
At the JUTH, Plateau State, the baby is currently receiving treatment and she had already undergone 3 surgeries, waiting for a fourth.
