Afrobeats sensation, Davido, is basking in the glory of his Spotify record, which remains unbroken despite the release of Wizkid’s new album, ‘Morayo’.
Davido’s ‘Timeless’ album had achieved the feat of occupying the top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two consecutive days, a record that still stands.
Wizkid’s ‘Morayo’ album may have broken several records on Spotify, but it failed to replicate Davido’s achievement. According to music-monitoring platform, The Data Dash, Davido remains the only artist to occupy the top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two consecutive days.
The Data Dash tweeted, “@davido remains the only artist to occupy the Top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for 2 consecutive days, with all new songs from his album ‘Timeless’.” Davido, clearly thrilled about retaining his record, reposted the tweet with a boastful comment, “Remains the only!”
