Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Manchester United has hit a snag, as Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk revealed the Nigerian striker intends to stay with the Turkish Super Lig champions until the end of the season.
Despite having a clause in his contract allowing him to join another club in January, Buruk expressed confidence in Osimhen’s commitment to Galatasaray. “Osimhen intends to stay here until the end of the season,” he told NTV. “He also wants to stay and has been telling me the same thing since the beginning. There is a clause, but it doesn’t matter, he said he will stay.”
Buruk emphasized that Osimhen’s decision to stay is paramount. “The important thing is the player, it is the player who decides and Osimhen says he will stay here. He said the same thing when he came.”
Osimhen has been in impressive form for Galatasaray, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in nine outings across all competitions. His decision to stay will undoubtedly boost the team’s chances of success in the Turkish Super Lig. Manchester United will now have to reconsider their options in the transfer market.
