Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori hosted a service of songs in honor of Mrs. Victoria Ossai Obielum, mother of politician Godwill Obielum, at Obielum’s residence in Asaba.
The event marked Ifeanyi Okowa’s first public appearance since his arrest and release over alleged N1.3 trillion fraud.
Prominent attendees included Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Solomon Arenyenka, members of the party’s state executive committee, and top serving and retired security officers. The service, held on Wednesday, showcased the community’s respect for Mrs. Obielum.
In a poignant sermon, Pastor Ifeanyi Ogude of Heaven Bound Christian International Church Ministry emphasized the importance of living a good life and leaving lasting legacies. “Nobody knows when death will come, and as such, people should be prepared by living a good life and leaving worthy legacies behind, as they will be remembered for what they did.”
