The South Korean entertainment industry is mourning the loss of talented actor Song Jae-Rim, best known for his iconic role in the hit K-drama “The Moon Embracing the Sun”.
His lifeless body was discovered at his Seoul apartment on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Seoul’s Seongdong Police Station confirmed the incident, stating, “Currently, there is no evidence of foul play.” Authorities are still investigating the cause of death, with no further details disclosed.
A two-page letter was reportedly discovered at the scene, according to Korean media outlet Soompi. The contents of the letter have not been revealed, fueling speculation about the circumstances surrounding Song’s passing.
Song Jae-Rim, 39, made his debut in 2009 with “Actresses” and rose to fame with his loyal bodyguard role in “The Moon Embracing the Sun” alongside Kim Soo-Hyun. He continued to build his career with notable roles in various K-dramas and films, including “Queen Woo” earlier this year.
Song had two upcoming projects, “I’ll Become Rich” and “Death Business”, which will now be completed without him.
