Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has denied allegations of bribing human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, and his son, Falz, for a presidential pardon.
In a recent Instagram post, Bobrisky distanced himself from audio recordings circulating online, claiming he never gave money to Falana or Falz.
The audios, shared by controversial media critic, Martin Otse (VeryDarkMan), alleged that Bobrisky paid N10 million for a presidential pardon and N3 million for special treatment at Kirikiri Correctional Centre. Bobrisky’s response follows Falana and Falz’s demand for a public apology and retraction of defamatory statements.
“I, Okuneye Idris aka Bobrisky, didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon… The person who published the audio online should take full responsibility.”
Bobrisky’s lawyer will respond formally to the Falanas’ letter, reiterating denial of knowledge about VeryDarkMan’s published content.
Falana’s lawyers described Bobrisky’s claims as “entirely unfounded and damaging” to Falana’s reputation, demanding a full retraction and apology.
The crossdresser’s stance has sparked debate on social media, with many questioning the authenticity of VeryDarkMan’s claims.
