In a move to solidify its position as a hub for African football, Morocco has been selected to host the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League finals.
This marks the second consecutive time Morocco will host the competition.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on its official website that the tournament will take place from November 9 to November 23. Eight top teams from across the continent will converge to battle for the coveted title.
Nigeria’s Edo Queens, champions of the Nigerian Women’s Football League, will join the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, the current holders, in the quest for glory.
The winners will receive a whopping $400,000 in prize money, while the runners-up will take home $250,000.
By hosting the CAF Women’s Champions League, CAF aims to promote and develop women’s football in Africa, providing a platform for talented players to showcase their skills.
The stage is set for an exciting tournament.
