Nigerian songstress Tems has showered praise on Canadian superstar Justin Bieber, describing him as “one of the purest souls” she’s encountered.
Tems’ admiration for Bieber stems from their collaborative experience at Coachella earlier this year.
During her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Tems recounted how Bieber surprisingly offered to join her set. “I got a text from Justin Bieber, he was like, ‘I’m around in case you want to bring me out.'” Tems was taken aback by Bieber’s kindness and willingness to support her performance.
Tems also shared how Wizkid, her collaborator on the global hit “Essence,” effortlessly agreed to join her Coachella set. “Wizkid was in town, so we asked if he minded coming on, and he was like, ‘Yeah, of course, I’m going to come out.'”
The memorable performance, featuring Wizkid and Bieber, left the audience electrified. “Everybody was losing their minds. I was a bit startled,” Tems exclaimed. “Justin Bieber is one of the purest souls I have ever met, he’s so kind and such a supporter. And he came out, the ground was shaking. Justin, I love you!”
Tems, Wizkid, and Justin Bieber’s collaboration on the “Essence” remix has been a massive success, bridging cultural gaps and captivating global audiences.
