Controversial cross-dresser Bobrisky has made startling claims in a leaked voice note, revealing attempts to secure a presidential pardon for money laundering charges brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bobrisky claimed to have paid N5 million upfront to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to facilitate the pardon, with the SAN initially demanding N10 million. However, Bobrisky’s account was frozen by the EFCC, preventing him from paying the full amount.
According to Bobrisky, his godfather intervened, providing the initial N5 million and arranging for a well-furnished apartment near the prison, courtesy of the Deputy Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Contrary to widespread reports, Bobrisky insisted he was not in prison. “I’m not in prison, but I’m around there… My godfather was able to say, ‘Never, you will not smell that prison.'” He revealed that his godfather’s influence allowed him to stay in the apartment, with the understanding that he would not post or speak publicly.
Bobrisky explained that the pardon request, submitted by the SAN, aimed to expedite his release. “I’m supposed to finish my sentence by July, but if we get the amnesty, I could leave by the first week of next month.”
This revelation follows Bobrisky’s earlier claims that EFCC operatives demanded and received N15 million to drop the money laundering charges. He also alleged that human rights lawyer Femi Falana sought a presidential pardon in exchange for N10 million.
