The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has announced Wednesday as the kick-off date for its local government election campaign.
The campaign rally will hold at J.S Tarka Stadium, Gboko, starting noon Wednesday. APC State Caretaker Committee Chairman, Dr. Benjamin Omale, urged stakeholders, support groups, candidates, and party supporters to attend.
According to State Organising Secretary, Mr. James Ornguga, the event will include presenting flags to nominated candidates. “All 23 local governments will launch their campaigns between Thursday, September 26, and Saturday, September 28, 2024.”
With the October 5 local government election approaching, the APC’s campaign kick-off is strategic. The party aims to mobilize support across Benue State.
Dr. Omale’s announcement demonstrates the APC’s readiness for the elections. The party has finalized candidate nominations and is now focusing on grassroots mobilization.
