Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique, has expressed his admiration for Kylian Mbappe, describing his departure to Real Madrid as “a pity” in a new documentary by Movistar.
Enrique praised Mbappe’s exceptional personal qualities, saying, “In Kylian’s case, I met a wonderful player. A person of an exceptional personal level, which you rarely find when you arrive and see a player of that level. Human, affectionate, close.”
Mbappe, 25, joined Real Madrid this summer after running down his contract with PSG. Enrique acknowledged the move, stating, “What a pity he went to Madrid. Especially for us at the time. But life is also part of the game.”
Despite their past disagreements, Enrique wishes Mbappe success at Real Madrid. “I hope everything goes very well for him,” he said.
Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid ended years of speculation. During his time at PSG, he occasionally clashed with Enrique, who benched him on several occasions.
Enrique’s heartfelt comments highlight the mutual respect between the manager and player. As Mbappe begins his new chapter at Real Madrid, Enrique’s well-wishes underscore the admiration for the talented forward.
