Renowned evangelist and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has issued a stern warning to individuals who give fake testimonies in churches, describing their actions as “playing pranks with God.”
In a recent Facebook post, Bamiloye emphasized that those who deliberately fabricate stories of divine intervention risk divine judgment and deceive congregations.
“If you stand on the Lord’s Altar to give fake testimonies deliberately, you are playing pranks with God,” Bamiloye warned.
He also criticized bloggers who sensationalize issues within the Church for monetary gain, accusing them of working for the devil.
“You bloggers, employed and paid by the devil to drag His body in the mud… are being used by the devil,” Bamiloye stated.
Bamiloye reaffirmed his faith in God’s unlimited power, citing biblical miracles, and stressed that false testimonies dishonor God and jeopardize the spiritual well-being of those involved.
The evangelist’s warning serves as a reminder to Christians about the dangers of deceit within the Church, urging all to be cautious and sincere in their faith.
He concluded with a call for repentance, warning those “playing pranks with God” of the “terrible judgment” awaiting them.
“PLAYING PRANKS WITH GOD! … If you mount the Altar of God to deliberately tell lies that God has done what He knew nothing about, You are playing pranks with God!
The judgment of God is hanging upon all the pranksters who are making mockery of God and the Body of Christ. It is a terrible judgment! #mikebamiloye”
This warning comes amid concerns over fake testimonies in churches, which pose significant ethical concerns and undermine the authenticity of genuine spiritual experiences.
