The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lambasted the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party, saying their inability to resolve their internal leadership crises renders them unfit to govern Nigeria.
In a scathing statement titled “Salihu Lukman: A Cantankerous Political Rodomont,” APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, also berated former party chieftain, Salihu Lukman, for criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Lukman had recently praised the PDP’s 16-year tenure as better than the APC’s nine-year rule, accusing Tinubu and his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, of failing Nigerians.
Morka expressed shock at Lukman’s remarks, noting that the former APC stalwart once held an esteemed position in the party. “It is ludicrous to tout opposition PDP and Labour Party that cannot even manage their internal affairs as capable of offering responsible and visionary leadership to Nigeria.”
The APC spokesperson highlighted the party’s efforts to revamp the economy, enhance national security, and promote sustainable development under President Tinubu’s leadership.
