Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has added her voice to the growing outrage over the brutal murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
Christianah was allegedly killed by her friend, Ayomide Adeleye, a suspected serial killer, who had been a close friend of the victim. The gruesome murder has sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for swift justice for Christianah.
Ayra Starr took to her official X page to condemn the act, writing, “Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah.” The singer emphasized the urgent need to address violence against women, asserting that they deserve better protection and treatment.
The murder investigation has uncovered shocking revelations, including that Adeleye had previously been linked to the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and blood sister in separate incidents in 2018 and 2020. The suspect’s property was searched, and Christianah’s body was found buried there.
The police are currently investigating the matter, and many are demanding that justice be served for Christianah and her family. Ayra Starr’s outcry is just one of many voices calling for an end to violence against women and for perpetrators to be held accountable for their actions.
