The legal team representing Mohbad’s family has expressed concern over sensitive information regarding the singer’s death being released to the public, urging individuals with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
Taiwo Odumosu, head of the legal team, stated that the family is seeking assistance in gathering facts to determine the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely demise. He emphasized the importance of contacting the legal team or the police to ensure witness and suspect protection.
The coroner’s inquest has issued witness summons, and the family is focused on uncovering the truth behind Mohbad’s death. Odumosu noted that the Coroner’s Court is the best forum for disclosing information that could aid in the fact-finding mission.
Mohbad, a 27-year-old singer, died on September 12, 2023, with controversies surrounding his death. A 13-man special investigation team was inaugurated by the Lagos State Police Command to probe his death, leading to the arrest of Naira Marley and others. An autopsy was performed after his body was exhumed to determine the cause of death.
