Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed calls by Southern and Middle Belt Forum leader, Chief Edwin Clark, for his investigation and expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Clark had written to PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, urging him to probe Wike and impose sanctions if found guilty. However, Wike insists Clark is not a PDP member and has no right to make such demands.
Wike recalled how Clark opposed his gubernatorial ambition in 2014, yet he won and has since contributed significantly to the PDP’s growth. He questioned what he would be investigated for, especially since he supported Clark’s call for a Southern Presidency.
Wike revealed that Clark has written him letters since 2014, but he has chosen not to respond. He emphasized that he has done nothing wrong and will not reply to Clark’s accusations.
Wike highlighted his significant contributions to the PDP’s growth and questioned Clark’s motives for calling for his investigation. He remains defiant, refusing to respond to Clark’s demands.
