Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has engaged top federal officials to resolve the dispute with Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. over the Ogun Free Trade Zone.
Professor Pat Utomi accused former Governor Ibikunle Amosun of revoking his property deal, leading to a clash between the two. Utomi claimed he suffered financially due to the cancellation, while Amosun alleged Utomi made unreasonable demands.
Governor Abiodun’s efforts to resolve the dispute come as Utomi and Amosun engage in a war of words over the revoked property deal. Abiodun’s visit to Abuja aims to find a solution to the seizure of presidential jets due to the business dispute.
Amosun explained that the contract with Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. was cancelled due to false claims by the firm. He also accused Utomi of having an “entitlement mentality” and attempting to induce him to pay N200m for a revoked property deal.
Utomi claimed Amosun’s actions led to the seizure of presidential jets and accused him of violating contract terms. Amosun responded by stating that Utomi did not invest more than N50m in the revoked property and tried to pressure him into paying N200m.
