In a surprise move, Nigerian music icons D’banj and Don Jazzy have put aside their differences and reunited to release a new album, ‘The Entertainer Sequel’.
The announcement was made by D’banj on his Instagram page, where he shared a short play featuring Don Jazzy, Jimmie Akinsola, Gideon Okeke, and others.
‘The Entertainer Sequel’ is a follow-up to D’banj’s 2008 album ‘The Entertainer’, which was a huge success. The new album features remixes of popular songs like ‘Fall in Love’, ‘Feli Feli’, ‘Igwe’, and ‘Suddenly’.
This reunion marks a new chapter in the careers of two of Nigeria’s most talented musicians. D’banj and Don Jazzy’s collaboration in the past produced some of the biggest hits in Nigerian music history. Their reunion is a testament to the power of music to bring people together.
D’banj’s rise to fame began with his first hit ‘No Long Thing’ in 2005. He went on to co-found ‘Mo’Hits Records’ with Don Jazzy, producing some of the biggest hits in Nigerian music. Their fall out led to a hiatus in their collaboration, but it seems they have put the past behind them.
