The England international suffered a “little knock” during the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, according to manager Erik ten Hag.
Maguire was substituted after 59 minutes of the match, which ended 1-1 and was decided by penalties in favor of Manchester City. Ten Hag expressed hope that Maguire would recover in time for the season’s first game, saying, “[There is] a little knock with Harry [Maguire]. We hope he can keep fit and available for next week when we start the season.”
