The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lambasted President Bola Tinubu for his silence amidst the nationwide EndBadGovernance protests, which have rocked the country since Thursday.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the PDP urged Tinubu to break his silence and address the nation immediately, reassuring citizens of his commitment to addressing the pressing issues affecting them.
The statement read, “The PDP demands that President Tinubu immediately address Nigerians on urgent steps to reduce the price of petroleum products, stem the fall of the Naira, and ensure speedy provision of food among other critical issues.”
The opposition party expressed concerns that Tinubu’s silence is sending a dangerous signal, heightening public apprehension that the APC government is insensitive to citizens’ feelings and the nation’s sorry state.
The PDP also demanded a comprehensive investigation into the reported killing of unarmed Nigerians, allegedly by security operatives, and urged Tinubu to recover stolen funds, reduce tariffs on essential goods, and cut the cost of governance.
