Nigerian music duo, PSquare, has broken up again, according to Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy.
In an interview with City FM, Lagos, Rudeboy confirmed the split, citing creative differences and unresolved issues.
Rudeboy revealed that the plan was to produce hit albums together, but he’s now focusing on his solo career. “I’m just focusing on Rudeboy. Trust me, it’s not everything that I would want to say,” he said.
The brothers first split in 2016 but reunited in 2021. However, Rudeboy claimed that the reunion was short-lived due to unresolved issues, including accusations that he was the singer while his brother, Peter, was the dancer.
Rudeboy also mentioned a song they did with T.I, “Eja Jo”, which he said didn’t do well because it didn’t sound like the usual PSquare voice. He added that he tried to involve Peter in the creative process, but it still didn’t work out.
Peter allegedly told Rudeboy he wanted to quit, but refused to make it public. Rudeboy spoke up to avoid being blamed for the breakup.
