Controversial social media critic, Martin Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, has lashed out at Folashade, President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, for urging Nigerians to give her father three years before assessing his tenure.
Folashade, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, had advised parents to stop their children from participating in the planned hunger protest scheduled for August 1 to 10.
VeryDarkMan, in a video response, expressed his disapproval of Folashade’s statement, urging her to beg her father to desist from plunging Nigeria into more woes.
He argued that it was unreasonable to expect silence from the masses while the current administration exacerbates economic hardship.
VeryDarkMan maintained that Tinubu’s first year in office was the worst so far, emphasizing the severe impact of the drastic increase in fuel prices.
The country’s economic hardship has skyrocketed since Tinubu took office, with the price of Premium Motor Spirit rising from N185 to over N700 and the naira experiencing a continuous free fall against the dollar.
These developments have led to widespread calls for demonstrations across the country, with opposition leaders supporting the organizers.
