Former Manchester United defender, Raphael Varane, has revealed his motivations for joining Serie A club, Como, owned by ex-Barcelona midfielder, Cesc Fabregas.
In an exclusive interview, Varane expressed his excitement about the new challenge, stating, “I’m very happy. There’s a lot to do, and it’s very exciting. I have a lot of experience at the highest level, and now to be able to share that knowledge and help a club build itself up and hopefully reach the top is super exciting.”
Varane, who signed a two-year deal with Como, cited Fabregas’ passion for football and his philosophy of play as key factors in his decision. “I’m meeting Cesc again, but not as an opponent this time. I’m very happy, I really like his philosophy of play and his passion for football.”
The World Cup winner also emphasized his commitment to helping the team grow, saying, “In any case, I’m coming with a great deal of humility to help the team and the club grow.”
Varane’s arrival at Como marks a new chapter in his illustrious career, and he is eager to make a meaningful impact on the club’s future success.
