In a bid to bolster their coaching staff, Manchester United have announced the appointment of Andreas Georgson as a first-team coach.
The 42-year-old joins the Red Devils ahead of their pre-season friendly against Arsenal on Saturday.
Georgson, who has extensive coaching experience in England, having worked at Brentford, Arsenal, and Southampton, joins from Norwegian side Lillestrom, where he has been head coach since January.
The appointment is the latest addition to Erik Ten Hag’s staff this summer, following the arrival of Rene Hake, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Jelle ten Rouwelaar. Georgson will work alongside Steve McClaren and Darren Fletcher in the refreshed set-up.
The Red Devils confirmed the appointment on their website, signaling a strong intent to build a robust coaching team ahead of the new season. With Georgson on board, Manchester United are poised to tackle the challenges of the upcoming season with a strengthened coaching staff.
