In a candid interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson on X, Elon Musk revealed he was “tricked” into allowing his child to undergo puberty blockers.
Musk shared his personal experience with his child, Xavier, now known as Vivian Jenna Wilson, who identifies as transgender.
The conversation centered around California’s Assembly Bill 1955, which enables schools to keep a child’s sexual orientation or gender identity confidential from parents. Musk criticized the law, stating, “It’s evil… You’re taking kids who are far below the age of consent.”
Musk disclosed, “I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier… I was told Xavier might commit suicide.” He emphasized, “It’s incredibly evil… I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason.”
A Mayo Clinic study linked puberty blockers to irreversible long-term fertility issues in boys. Musk slammed the use of these medications, saying, “Puberty blockers are actually just sterilization drugs.”
Musk announced plans to relocate SpaceX and X to Texas, citing California’s new law as the final straw. He had previously warned Governor Gavin Newsom of his decision if the bill was signed into law.
Vivian Musk, formerly Xavier, publicly announced her transgender identity in June 2022 and petitioned to change her name and adopt her mother’s surname, stating, “I no longer want to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
