Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of frustrating Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man.
VeryDarkMan claimed that the government’s challenges have brought Dangote to tears.
Aliko Dangote recently revealed that he received no incentives from the Nigerian government to build his $20bn refinery at the Lekki Free Trade Zone. He also alleged that the government’s regulations targeted his refinery’s functionality.
VeryDarkMan reacted in a video, saying: “Tinubu’s regime brought Africa’s richest man, Dangote, close to tears… The economy is so bad that Dangote was reminiscing when his friend cautioned him against investing in Nigeria.” He questioned why Dangote was not informed about the lack of crude oil before building the refinery and accused the government of frustrating Dangote’s efforts to source crude oil from Brazil.
VeryDarkMan alleged that the money used to build the refinery was public funds, not Dangote’s personal money. He accused the government of humiliating Dangote, saying: “The issue is that the money he claimed to have used in building the refinery is public funds and not his personal money.”
