Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, met with PDP leaders from all 18 local government areas on Saturday to strategize for the September 21 governorship election.
The meeting at Government House, Benin City, aimed to brief party leaders on campaign activities for the next 60 days.
Obaseki expressed gratitude for their commitment and dedication, saying, “I thank you all for rallying round the party… I am convinced that with your efforts, Asue Ighodalo will be the governor of Edo State come September 21.”
He highlighted the party’s preparations, including the inauguration of campaign councils and uploading party agents’ names on the INEC portal. The candidate’s campaign itinerary will cover all 192 wards, with a grand finale on September 18.
The governor expressed confidence in the party’s unity and strength, saying, “We are the only party in the state, and I am not afraid; we will win the election.”
