Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles striker, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Paris Saint Germain (PSG), making the French giants frontrunners in the race for his signature.
This development comes as PSG prepares for life after Kylian Mbappe’s departure to Real Madrid.
Osimhen’s transfer saga began in December 2023 when Napoli made him available for sale despite extending his contract until June 2026. Initially, Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal showed interest, but the €130 million release clause proved a significant hurdle.
Napoli’s struggles to pay Osimhen’s €10 million per season salary have led them to consider negotiating a lower transfer fee. According to Sky Sport Italia, PSG is now in negotiations with Napoli to agree on a transfer fee, with multiple sources confirming Osimhen’s agreement on personal terms with the French side.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that PSG’s interest in Osimhen is “getting concrete.” If all goes well, PSG is expected to announce Osimhen’s signing before the 2024-2025 season begins in August. This transfer would be a significant coup for PSG, bolstering their attack with one of the most sought-after strikers in the world.
