Afrobeats sensation Rema has performed at the highly publicized wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant.
The event, which took place on July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai, featured Rema performing his hit song “Calm Down”. According to his record label, MAVIN, the singer charged $3 million for his performance. Other global stars like Justin Bieber and Rihanna also graced the stage, with Bieber reportedly earning $10 million.
The four-day wedding extravaganza in Mumbai City was the final stop in a string of lavish parties the family has hosted since March. The wedding was attended by numerous celebrities and dignitaries, including Kim Kardashian, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, and former US Secretary of State John Kerry, among others.
